11.7.0 God-King Proteus, the Logos

God-King Proteus, the Logos reigned in the eras before mortality and humanity as unquestioned ruler of the Elder Pantheon. Creation's brightest and most beloved star, Infinite Proteus was the greatest among all the Divine children of Omnipotent Ayar. For this the God of Gods was given Lordship of all that Was, Is, and Will Be in the era before Time was Time, forming a sacred contract betwixt Father and Son. In a hallowed bond to resound down all the long corridors of Eternity, Their ancient words were forever immortalised within the City Forever by the patient hands of His most favoured Aldar. Taking Lorielan as His wife and naming Her Queen of Creation, Proteus' love for His lesser sibling was matched only by the passions with which He delved the world's peoples and the wrath He delivered upon those who defied the Ultimate.

From first His Twin Throne and later the very Font of All Things did Proteus command Creation for eons with just, guiding hand. Beneath His eyes all was bounded to His Realm of Rule, whether Divine or mortal. Within His mighty wings did He offer shelter from catastrophe, and at His uttered Word even Yggdrasil would kneel before His Star-brightened supremacy to quell the grandest of torments. And as the Logos His unconquerable Will moved Worlds in accordance with His Father's grand Design.

This story is a lie.

He whom Divinity and Creation knew as their God-King was in truth one infinite half of Ayar's own Transcendence. As the means by which Ayar would experience not just the love of Creator for Created but also Created for Creator, Proteus' true name and eventual reconstitution with Ayar was concealed in His command of not one but all three of the Supreme Realms: Kingship, Stars, and Logos. Yet with Their memories twisted at the hand of Ayar to conceal the reality of Proteus, with Their minds forcibly turned from the mysteries of Beginning, the Elder Gods and indeed all the multiverse saw Their King of Kings only as the simultaneous Youngest and Eldest, He Who Will Be Forever.

At the close of the Chaos Wars and the revelations they brought, it was Ayar who chose to disperse Entropy and Discord from the pre-written assault upon Proteus that Ayar had known would come. That which passed between the two in the events that followed still remains unknown even to the Gods, yet at its end it was Proteus who chose to return to that Indivisible Unity within which They, now He, might continue the work of Ayar's uninterrupted Design. Thus did the Infinite Father and Omnipotent Son take on identity anew, choosing for Himself the moniker of Sarapis, the Logos.
