Darkenwood

The Oakstone laws regarding forest wormholes were indeed in effect
even before Darkenwood was known to exist. However, I am not certain
that Lord Twilight has indeed claimed it as solely His. He does claim
to have created it, but has not to my knowledge claimed ownership.
Regardless, His Order was contacted regarding these wormholes and
agreed with their removal.

You were indeed contacted by myself about illegal wormholes in
Darkenwood, and did indeed request to be informed of the precise
locations. The original message did state that they were within the
Darkenwood, and I am sure that you are familiar enough with your
abilities to know that you have the skill to gain knowledge of all the
wormholes in an entire area at once. The fact that no action was
taken other than asking for a listing of information already available
to you resembles an attempt at stalling.

Perhaps a mortal cannot claim to know the intentions of another, but
the words of a mortal are a very effective insight into their
rationale. You may not be aware, but the following exchange took
place immediately following Serthest's attack on Calhoun:

Lin'Quei Serthest Mercadia, the Impaler has branded you an enemy of
Hashan.

You tell Lin'Quei Serthest Mercadia, the Impaler, "May I ask why?"

Serthest tells you, "Assisting calhoun cancel warps."

Serthest has declared you an enemy of the Serpentlords.

You tell Lin'Quei Serthest Mercadia, the Impaler, "And same reason on
that one?"

Serthest tells you, "Mmhmm."

This says very strongly to me that his reason for attacking was to
stop the cancellation of a forest wormhole. On top of that, Serthest
enemied Calhoun for canceling one wormhole and only came to attack
when he began canceling another. Further, the fact that he first
prismed in phased, waited for a message about cancellation to appear,
and only then chose to attack only makes it more clear that the
intention was to halt cancellation of the wormhole.

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the history regarding Oakstone's laws
on wormholes. Originally, wormholes were permitted without
restriction. However, wormholes then began to be used in assaults on
the forests, permitting easy access to and egress from a forest
location without enemies being harassed by forest defences on the
way. Such use of wormholes is not an invented scenario, it is history
and the reason that wormholes are not permitted in forest rooms.

Unintentionally, I'm certain, your post was flawed in several
regards. It claims that followers of Twilight were not spoken with,
when in fact they were. It claims that you did not know where the
wormholes are that you were notified of, when in fact you were given
the area and have the means to get a completely up-to-date catalog of
all wormholes in an area. It claims that the attack was unrelated to
the cancellations, when in fact events both before and after the
attack make it clear that they were solely because of the worm
cancellations. It claims that Oakstone law is created arbitrarily,
when in fact they are formed on a sound historical basis. It seems as
though more homework needs to be done before you accuse others of
being "a power-hungry organization intended only to make its
participants feel superior to the realm."
