Conor I address this to you since you have spoken publically for your
organization.
The law regarding the wormholes in the forests was made at a time before
the Darkenwood existed. The Darkenwood is claimed by Lord Twilight. You
and your organization are most certainly not said Divine. If Lord
Twilight wishes the Darkenwood wormholes to be removed, they will be
gone within an Achaean month. Your organization merely needs to ask Him
or His followers to consider your request in regards to His forest.
You claim that I was contacted by your organization and did not respond.
I was contacted by Rick about illegal wormholes, and I replied that if
he sent me the location of the alleged illegal wormholes, I would look
into it. He did not reply. I expect your ignorance in regards to that
communique is due to a flaw in Oakstone's structure. Perhaps that should
be looked into.
In regards to your comments about Serthest's attacking Calhoun, you have
presumed very much. Since you are nay Divine, I assume that you can not
claim to know Serthest's intentions in attacking Calhoun. Calhoun is a
member of the Mark and Serthest was in the right for attacking him
whereever he was and whatever he was doing. That is the reason that
Calhoun was attacked. I'm sure that fact was conveniently overlooked
during the situation, much as my reply to Rick was overlooked. It seems
that Oakstone overlooks much these days. Perhaps before you endeavor to
"protect" another forest, you should look towards inproving an
apparently flawed organization?
Lastly, I would like to address the fact that your "laws are relatively
simple and are designed to protect and preserve the forests and to allow
Oakstone to perform her duties of patrolling and preserving." While that
is a very rambling and noble purpose, in attacking wormholes you are
making a grave error. Wormholes have never wounded the forests. They
have no damaging aspect in regards to the forests. In fact, they would
better allow Oakstone to perform her duties of "patrolling and
preserving." In my times in the land (once in Oakstone actually), I have
never known Oakstone to work towards the best interests of the forests.
Largely I have found it to be a power-hungry organization intended only
to make its participants feel superior to the realm. Your statements in
regards to the law regarding wormholes are flawed, and only Oakstone has
the power to change that. I can nay speak for the other Serpent guilds
but I can say that if we were approached we may be willing to
strategically place wormholes to better serve Oakstone in regards to
their duties. Such duties I assume are patrolling the woodlands in
search of misuse, putting out forestfires and replanting ruined groves.
Many of my organization have been instrumental in keeping the woodlands
safe. Since this never seemed to occur to Oakstone, I will assume it was
due to their "other duties".
As I said, your post was flawed in regards to the attack on Calhoun by
Serthest, in regards to the Wormhole Law being to protect the forests,
and in regards to the communique sent to and from me. It seems as though
more homework needs to be done before you announce your organization's
decrees and accuse others of not following through.
