A Payoff?

This post is addressed to everyone, but it is intended for the citizens
of Shallam. More specifically, the leadership.
Recently, Bambi, another Regent and I had the opportunity to meet with
Grimsblade. We discussed the conditions under which Hashan would ally
all those who were enemied due to war. We also discussed the fact that
Hashan didn't wish to be compensated by Shallam, as any attempt at
reparations at this point feels like we're being bought off, and it is
the general consensus (based on a poll of those who were contacted by
Grimsblade regarding the said money) that we aren't for sale. Therefore,
the funds that you had deposited in the Hashan coffers has been returned
to Shallam. I distinctly remember making the statement to you that we
didn't want this money, Grimsblade. Listening is a part of negotiations.
Something you might remember next time you're attempting it.
Last month I contacted Grimsblade, while we were both about, and asked
him about those that we had discussed who were still enemied to Shallam.
There are a total of 4 left, and was told that he was going to hold a
referendum to let the citizens of Shallam decide whether or not they
would be allied. This month, I'm informed by another of the Regents that
Aldair states the 4 in question aren't going to be allied. This suggests
that Shallam's right hand doesn't know what it's left is doing. Perhaps
those of you in leadership positions should make some attempt at
communicating amongst yourselves.
To the citizens of Shallam, the only thing that Hashan wants from you is
the removal of the enemy status of four of our citizens who were enemied
due to war. If you really feel you need to charge a fine, take it from
the funds that were returned to you, and save us all alot of hassle.
To anyone who was contacted by Grimsblade and is not a citizen of
Hashan, I recommend contacting the Shallamese government in regards to
the 5k they decided your life was worth. Hashan no longer has that
"gift" in safekeeping for you.
