Covenant a leader? Hardly.

Fortunately I won't have to bash you over the head for the idiocy of
commenting that 50k in gold and a public apology is a fair and
reasonable offer. Calla did the quite well. I will, however, point out
the fact that you and Shallam continue to beat the drum of the opening
of the second box as the sole reason of the war. And it has apparently
deluded you into making some monumentally foolish choices. So far you've
let Ryvern... you remember him. He's the one that led your town into
this war to cover the sins of starting the war to begin with? Yeah
him...walk out of town on his own terms. Allowed him to step down and
sent him on his merry way. Let me explain something to you in terms a 6
year old could understand. Had Ryvern pulled that stunt in any other
democratically elected town he would have been outguilded, kicked out of
the city, and enemied. We do appreciate you not giving him a parade to
send him off though. Class act.
Dresden on the other hand continues to weave her hands behind the
scenes. And why not. She is a shining example of all things Shallam.
Yes, I mean she's full of excuses. From Charlotte did it and I had
nothing to do with it, to Varian made me do it, to whatever dribble
she's peddling these days she continues to lead even from behind. Lets
see, she also lead you into a war that was *big hint here starts with an
E* Evil...yes. Thats it. She also lied to the citizens repeatidly.
Publically calling for a trial while privately flushing every attempt
down the toilet. Guess we all know why now, huh? And yet there she is.
Still Secretary of the Priests. Shining citizen to Shallam. Again, we
thank you for not erecting a statue.
Charlotte is the biggest loser of all...and no Charlotte I'm not saying
that in a deragatory meaning. Had Ryvern not stepped forward Charlotte
would have been the sacrificial lamb to allow those who voted to open
the box to get away. Of course this doesn't stop the fact that she too
hid the fact the council voted from everyone thus making her just as
guilty. But we do give her a "A" for effort in the martyr category.
Now, if you want to total the damages caused by this limited action we
are looking at a pretty penny. But see, this isn't where we stop. What
about the damages caused by Hashan having to go to war to prove to you
that your leadership was corrupt. Or do you not remember that being one
of the things we listed as a reason for the war? What about the fact
that Shallam feels little to no remorse over what occurred? Good not
being dead. You crack me up Covenant. Almost as funny as you saying that
little bit about me just talking. How many battles were you in Covenant?
And no, setting traps and hiding in the city defences doesn't count. And
yes, please do threaten and come kill me as that is the only way you can
seem to prove your point. The only two leaders that Shallam had up until
very recent history that impressed me were Acratin and Walter. Acratin
saw the war for what it was and tried to end it. He was rewarded by
being voted out of office. Walter was the most effective general you had
and he was rewarded by almost being run out of town by Dresden. Yeah,
I'm feeling the good. No, sorry. Thats gas. Its been so long since I've
actually seen good I get the two confused you know.
What you could possibly be discussing as to the "fairness" of the
charges on the "internal" Shallamite matter mystifies me. It would seem
kicking the lousy bums out would be appropriate after they led you to
war, ruined your credibility, and generally tarnished the name of good
at every turn. And isn't that the only real request we made to begin
with? But apparently protecting treasonous liars that further the causes
of evil are all the rage in Shallam now. And that would be why we took
an interest in this "internal" matter. The fact that your leadership
deceived you and led you to this war made us blink. We hesitated. The
war went from hot to cold. Our mistake. Sorry. We thought you guys were
good. Our Bad. Egg on our face.
Oh, and before you through that FFA thing in our face....again...as far
as I'm concerned if there was a money retribution amount agreed on it
could be offered to Twilight to help compensate the essence He burned
fixing our town.
It eats me up that we are the bad guys in this. We warned people not to
open the second box. We tried to be understanding to those that did open
it and work with them so that they would not have to pay the full amount
on the attrocities that was committed. We changed our legal system to
try to provide for a trial. *And before you start again Muaxl, had you
not listened to Dresden and went on your own to appeal the charges you
would have probably been found not guilty with the evidence provided in
the trial. So that would be YOUR foolish mistake for blindly following a
crazy woman. Not ours* At every turn we tried to limit the conflict. But
YOUR leadership continued to push for war to cover THEIR sins. And now
you have to think about fairness? Please. Spare me the drivel.
So where does this put me? At the end. I'm done. Over it. Through. As
far as I'm concerned Shallam no longer exists. Messages, tells, says,
whatever...a shallamite tries to communicate with me and they will be
ignored. You have nothing worth saying that I want to listen to. And to
yours and great many others relief, I'm done posting about it. Yes I
know, cheer. But what you don't understand is alot of us are tired with
it. We don't care anymore. And that is the greatest defeat of Good I can
think of. One day Good will reopen its eyes and cry out...and the cause
will be good and just. It will be unfortunate that no one will care.
Your apathy has spread. Congratulations. Forgive us for not throwing a
parade.
