Emancipated? Hardly

Kryvar, you are full of foolish assumptions and misdirected
anger. This last post of yours continues to show it, but as
I am involved in several parts of it, I will be happy
to respond to individual parts of it where appropriate.

Shylmysten isn't asking for justice..he is asking for a level
playing field..which is actually available to him already,
by various means..I won't bother pointing them out to
either of you, if you can't figure them out alone. Plenty of
others know how to do that though, I am certain
someone will enlighten both of you.

If you have a problem with Lord Pentharian's passing of the
sentencing on the trial he held, why don't you take that
directly up with him? Pericles recently informed the Council
of Viziers that we would be handing down the punishments,
which we are currently pondering as to fairness..but no matter
what, it is an internal Shallam matter, and nothing for you
to worry about(especially since I personally was told that
no matter the result of this trial, it wasn't binding to
Hashan..not to mention some public news to that effect,
perhaps you should read back instead of moping about it).

Insulting peace offer? Hmm..let's see...What is the fine
for killing a Hashan citizen, do you even know? And how many
died that day? Do you know that? And how much gold is your
city asking for, how much was one trip through the Halls of
Sarapis being priced at?

Ryvern was the Sultan. Ryvern appointed Dresden temporarily, and
removed her after the trial. Ryvern has been replaced, and indeed
even left the city of Shallam. If all of these things displease you,
continue to whine please. If they are things you wanted done..well
then what are you complaining about?

The Cycle of the Gaian Tree was never a policy of the Sentinels,
nor of the Druids to my knowledge. It was a fiat declared by
the Lady herself, and her Order the only group beholden to..should
you have a problem with how that worked out, take your
complaints to the appropriate people, not my guild. Just as there
are Sentinels working landmarks for good, there are also
some working landmarks for evil. If there seems to be an
imbalance on the amount there, perhaps you should consider
the fact that Evil landmarks tend to benefit the Order of Evil,
which has not long ago done great harm to the forests, not
a thing many of us forget easily.

Justice? You don't know the meaning of the word, Kryvar. Good
defeated? Not during your lifetime, however long it may last.
We may be beset on many sides, we may be unhasty in making
sure we are doing the right thing when serious matters are
at stake, but we will never be defeated so long as there are
folks standing up for what is right. Folks with the courage to
back up their words and defend their homes against invaders,
to go out and Landmark in an oppressive situation, to prepare to
fight yet another battle every day..rather than sit back and
mouth platitudes about neutrality and how wounded they have
been.

Now, after saying all that, I want to say to the general citizens of
Hashan that Shallam does indeed want peace, but we will not
beggar ourselves for it due to the outrageous demands
of your leadership. The Sultan, and every Vizier who was
in office at the time of the opening of the box, and even
of Dresden's solo "raid" into Hashan, has been replaced.
Shallam has completely new leadership, leadership that realizes
errors were made and would like to rectify it, but not
leaders who will be cowed or browbeaten into giving Hashan
whatever it wants in reparations.
