Recently, the hierophants were approached by Sir Andelas Ikari
concerning his fine and status as an enemy of the forest. Andelas made
an offer to resolve this situation, in good faith, by offering 25,000
gold and his public apology.
Impressed with his earnestness, the hierophants have met and considered
his offer. His current fine is 490,000 gold and 245 years enemied from
the forests, 2000 gold and 1 year for each grove destroyed.
Unfortunately, 25,000 gold does not come close to replenishing the
245,000 gold Oakstone has spent rejuvenating the forests, and that does
not even begin to address the remaining 245,000 fine that is owed.
However, in a gesture of good faith, we have made a counter offer If
Andelas will repay Oakstone the actual costs of rejuvenating the damage
he has caused, 245,000 gold, then we will be willing to half the
remaining fine to 122,500, payable over 10 years, and Andelas will post
an apology to Gaia, Oakstone, the Sentinels and the Druids for the
mayhem he has caused, as well as his oath not to do further damage. At
that time, Oakstone will unenemy him, and he will remain unenemied for
as long as his payments continue and he continues to hold to his public
oath not to cause further damage.
We await Andelas's reply to this offer.
