Let's be picky

Ashtan didn't sign the treaty - Ashtan's Overseer did.
I am not normally one to question Mistral's authority, but when she was elected, it was to serve Ashtan's best interests.
Putting merchants out of business, and killing all those who don't agree with the treaty, that is NOT in our best interests.
I can't say whether Shallam or Hashan experienced the same lack of cross-political communication, but I'm hoping this is merely a regretful lapse on our dear Overseer's part, and not a worldwide phenomenon.
And before you ask, no I didn't vote for Mistral and I certainly didn't vote for Zero.
