The church, Good and Evil

There have been several questions raised in the last few posts, I will
attempt to answer some of the more pertinent ones.
Good, is an absolute, it isnt relative to anything. That doesn't mean that
anyone is good simply due to being part of the church, nor does it mean
that anyone not of it isn't good.
Though being part of the church means that we must strive for goodness.
The church is never wrong, as her ideals cannot be. If it appears to be it
is our error, our failure, we individuals that make up the church are only
mortal, and are inevitably wrong on occasion.
The church seeks to end evil. This does not mean we must kill everyone we
perceive to be evil, but we will not stand by and do nothing.
The church powers of demons and hellsight, do not actually free the demons
from hell, nor transport you there, instead they give you a glimpse of
what the world would be like under their control, perhaps after such an
experience you appreciate better what it is we seek to prevent.
The Church also seeks to save the continent of Sapience, both from invasion
by the Goblin hordes, thus we strive to keep their numbers down, and from
the very real danger of its destruction by Chaos. Sometimes we find ourselves
opposing those that are not truely evil, but in their ignorance they promote
the cause of the Goblins, or increase the threat of Chaos.
Isildur,
Arch-Prelate.
Penned by my hand on the 9th of Phaestian, in the year 244 AF.
