Laras,
I thank you for your words of kindness. I am angered and ashamed that you were put to death for them, and curse the name of those responsible.
Sir Aodfionn,
I am more than capable of bearing my own standard. I regret I feel compelled to contribute now, as I am being openly discussed.
So that it is clear, my so called quest for knighthood has ended and I make no plans to resume it. I have not pressed any further past the conclusion of the previous talks, nor made any overtures to anyone.
While I understand the position of the Guild of Knights, I have less felt that my own position was understood, or that the desire to understand it was even expressed despite my multiple attempts to make it so.
Certain assumptions have been made about myself that I am unable to dispel for reasons I cannot explain, and that no evidence or argument was ever produced for, but instead were just unilaterally concluded. I was never formally part of Thurisaz. I did not depart it in bad standing. I did not and still do not break any oaths. For my part, I believe I have produced enough information and evidence to support my position, though this was never addressed or acknowledged.
I will not claim the conversations I had were in bad faith, but at the very least there is a barrier of communication, understanding, or principle that cannot be overcome.
So, I have judged as I have been judged in turn, and in so doing chose to not continue down this path.
Yours,
Riahn Aegocerus
