Sir,

thank you indeed for taking the time to reply to me, which I appreciate a lot.

Riahn had no knowledge of me posting what I posted, and if he would have known, he would have asked me not to.

I would have posted, anyways.

As to your wondering why I have not reached out to enquire more - it was because I am aware of the standard practice the Guild of Knights has had in place for centuries. I understand what lead to this practice. (And as you might have seen in my post, I also acknowledged that unity within a multi-citystate organization as the Guild of Knights is a special endeavour.)

In the case of former members of Cyrene and their relations with Cyrene, however, I worry it might create a forever standstill.

Cyrene is the citystate which has undergone the most significant changes in a rather short time, in recent history. With these changes - welcomed by many, disappointing to others - a number of lives were impacted. A number of people felt encouraged and very energized to flourish within the new Oceanus' Gate, whereas a number of others, many of them also belonging to the group of long term, active Cyrenese (which obviously also includes mortals who flourish within the new Oceanus' Gate), eventually felt the air knocked out of their lungs.

Some of those left the city, some were ousted, some have gone into inner immigration. Former Senator Kasotus even had - visible to the whole Sapience - his head piked above the Cyrene Palace, preserved what appeared to be seawater. Scyrian Shadows, understood to be tritons sent by Lord Neraeos, have assassinated a number of mortals, a number of times - even in the sacred grounds of the Temple of the Logos, where one mortal seeked refuge.

The recent happenings will make negotiations of former members with those currently living in Cyrene naturally very difficult.

I would like to stress that my post was not meant to only address the Guild of Knights.

My post also holds more mortals than the mentioned Riahn and Kasotus in it's heart.

When it comes to these two, however: Both Riahn and Kasotus have never been forthcoming about their feelings and thoughts towards me, even when I asked. I will continue to reach out to Riahn, since I do not want to see him going dormant. Kasotus sadly seems to have lost his will to live. I miss him greatly, eventhough I only knew him little, mostly based on interactions with him in his capacity of senator of Cyrene.

Generally, I feel that no matter what political changes are happening in this world, where changes are a natural part, I will continue to follow my heart when it comes to hoping that very active mortals are not crushed by whatever tides of times, and I am reaching out to my contemporaries with the hope that will join me.
