Hail, Sapience.

Welcome to the sixth month of the Asterian Festival of History.

Consult Public post #20714 for instructions on how to participate. Those who complete at least six months' worth of tasks and/or events will earn a truly unique historical memento; the more months you complete, the more intricate your reward.

Note: You are only required to complete either ONE task or attend ONE event per month to qualify, and you must note this in your journal. You can complete the tasks of previous months that you have missed as well - simply refer to the correct post.

Theme
------
The month of Ero is named after Eros, the Desire, who was once the God of Love before He was stripped of godhood for His absence. The subject of love has fascinated mortals through the ages, inspiring legendary feats and deeds, as well as engendering bitter strife. Love drew a wedge between the once-close Glanos and Sahart. Love brought the village of Caer Witrin into existence. Love won Catarin deSangre her crown. Unsurprisingly, the theme of this month is: love.

Monthly Journal Task
---------------------
Love manifests itself in many different ways for all. No matter the form it takes, it is a driving force that has consumed individuals, won or lost wars, and shaped the course of history itself.

[Task] Visit the following monuments to love and read the tales of lost love there upon the tablets:

- Garden of Whispers in Tasur'ke
- Entrance to Caer Witrin
- The tomb of Kosuira atop a large hill in the Sangre Plains

Love letters are common forms of expressions of love. Write a letter, anonymous or otherwise, expressing your devotion to someone, something, or some cause. Mention anywhere in the letter one of the tales you have read.

Leave a copy of your letter at any of the above sites, and paste a copy in your journal.

Events
-------
Bidding for artifacts in the Art and Artifacts auction continues. See AD 482 for the full details.

The hallmark event this month is the battle of King's Tomb. It honours one of the most significant events in what is arguably the realm's most famous love story: the tale of Lucaine Pyramides and Catarin deSangre. Participants will be able to experience a reimagining of what the legendary defense of King's Tomb in the name of love might have been like.

Refer to AD 192 for dates and check UPCOMING as well.

Exhibitions
------------
The Depicting the Past art and artifacts exhibition at the Anchors Acreage in the Shamtota Hills remains open. Directions are found from the Jaru road, and bidding instructions are on the scrolls in the gallery.

The featured items in the Asterian Restoration are the statues in the Restoration's Reunion Park. Legendary figures from the Seleucarian Empire such as Catarin deSangre, Lucaine Pyramides, Castomira Brangwin and Parni deSangre are represented in marble and stone here, reunited in memory as they were separated in life.

The travelling merchant continues to wander the Asterian Restoration grounds. You can travel there easily by TOUCHing the PORTAL at the town centre of New Thera. Ensure you are in perfect health.

The Grand Obsidian Tower in the south of Nimick, an extensive adventurer-run museum with hundreds of relics, remains open for public visits.

Any questions may be directed to myself. Enjoy the Festival.
