The Seleucarian Games: Final Months!

Sapience,

I'm happy to announce that the Seleucarian Games are reaching their final months, as we head into our closing ceremony!

The Tsol'teth's false games are over, and the tide is finally gone. We've all had a few months to rest and regroup, and I hope we're all feeling a bit better rested, now that we can relax from the endless tide. But since we've never run on the invaders' schedule, we have a few more months and a few more events before we declare this historic celebration closed!

Before I get any further, I'd like to give an apology for my relative silence these past few months. Wartime has been stressful, and myself and those helping me needed a short break, much as we hate taking them. I'm happy to say that these last two months have left me much better rested, and ready to give these games the sendoff they deserve. And to anyone disappointed by the delay in events or in the results of the hunting contest, I'm sorry about that, but rest assured they'll be up as soon as possible!

This last year has been packed with events and games as we celebrate this anniversary and our history! These next few months won't be quite so crowded, but we do have a few more things planned to send these games off with a proper celebration, one to stand better than the short gathering the Tsol'teth offered. Over the next few months, we'll be giving some last time for everyone to take part in our ongoing events, since I know how many were kept busy clearing the tide and haven't had a chance to focus on much else! And we'll be holding a few of the last smaller events as well, for everyone in the mood for a few more!

And then, the Seleucarian Games will hold a closing ceremony where we started, at the Asterian Restoration overlooking the old lands of Seleucar. We aren't -quite- ready to announce the date of this ceremony, as we work to finish prizes and get ready, but we plan to have an announcement up soon! I hope you all will join us to celebrate the end of these games, and this historic ceremony

The rest of this post explains what we have left in more detail, so for anyone interested, read on!

So, here's what's left for the events of the Selecuarian Games:

There have been a few events that have gotten a bit lost in all of the recent commotions, that we want to give everyone some last chances to take part in!

First, The Path to Seleucar:

Put on by the Asterian Restoration, this is our last championship event for the games, and so it's your last chance to earn a Seleucarian Games medallion, or affect your overall placing in the games! All places from first through fifth will receive special prizes, so even if you're not in a position to win the overall games, you can still win credits and other prizes by taking part!

The Path to Seleucar is an event that tests your knowledge of history and geography, where you'll follow the steps that Nikolas and those first settlers of Seleucar walked sixteen hundred years ago. Those interested will start in New Thera, where it all began, and follow the posters as they lead you through the path, while answering the questions at the bottom. More details can be found in public news 20450! I highly suggest that anyone who hasn't taken part in this give it a try. Entries will be counted until the end of this Valnuary, so you have a few months!

Second, the Glories of Seleucar Crafting Contest:

Throughout this event, we have been holding a crafting contest for designs that celebrate the Legacy of Seleucar and these Seleucarian Games, and it's not too late to take part! If you haven't completed your entries for the crafting contest, we will be accepting submissions until the 25th of Valnuary of this year. We'd love to see your designs, so if you have ideas, send them in!

Remember, every entry submitted will recieve a ten credit prize, and the winner will receive fifty credits for their submission! Come show your talents and celebrate the art and culture of the Modern Age! Submissions can be sent to Sentry Synthus, and further details can be found in Public news 20444!

We also have a few smaller events that we'll be running in the months leading up to our closing ceremony! Another archery contest and a riddle contest were both planned, and they'll be held for anyone interested in more celebration!

And finally, an update on our last big events, the debate series and ritual dueling tournament:

It probably won't surprise you to hear that scheduling tournaments while trying to run a set of championship during the end of a war can lead to a few delays! However, both of these events -will- happen, but will likely continue after the closing ceremony. I believe that both of these events deserve to be done justice, and so will be getting the time they deserve to happen properly.

*

And with those last events, we'll be leading into our closing ceremony, which we plan to announce the date of soon. I hope you all will join me for these last months of celebration of our shared history, and of the end of the Third Black Wave!
