truth

I'm not sure I understand where this "Bend Theory" comes from...perhaps from some ancient tome found in the royal library? Perhaps from the depths of Azdun?
Regardless, I think we should all seek a little enlightenment on the words: chaos, death, darkness, and order.
1. Chaos.
I don't intend to step on the immortal toes of Eris here, but mortals are allowed to conjecture their beliefs on what chaos is, and means. I don't think you missed this one by much, Sinistar, but to define chaos simply, it is the absence of order. If you know what entropy means, then you know chaos. If you have lost a mother and a father, slain by some drunken bandits while they were sleeping in their beds, you know what chaos is.
If you've lived a thousand years and you've watched the mighty mountain wear down and wash into the sea, you know what chaos is.
The order found in a living body, a living soul...this is in defiance of ultimate chaos. While death is not the realm of chaos, the disorder it brings is certainly not a thorn in the side of chaos either.
Darkness is no light. In 1905, you said "take away darkness, and you still have darkness." This is not correct. If you take away darkness, you have nothing. If you take away light, you have nothing. Two things may not exist in the same place at the same time. If you have an apple, and you take it away, you aren't left with an orange. Thus, if you have light, and you take it away, you are left with a void.
If you say the void is "dark"...I say, take away the light first, and then tell me the void is "darkness". The void is nothing, the absence of matter, the absence of all...even darkness.
And finally, my favorite...order.
You said, "the one great truth which is ORDER, which guides the flow of the universe."
Wrong.
Order "guides" nothing. It exists. If you haven't notice, Sarapis and all the other gods (All Hail Gaia!) are the hands which guide the cart of life. Order is not a sentient being...it has no "will" to defy or overthrow chaos, as chaos has no "will" to defy or overthrow order. Eris has a will, as do all the gods, and their actions embody order and chaos at times.
Predestination.....let me wallow with the swine when I say simply..."that sucks."
The mere fact that Sarapis, when he created the universe, laid down a pre-arranged world where every breath of every squirrel...every turn of every leaf...every droplet of every rainfall had already been considered, planned, and filed away?
Don't insult the mighty Logos! What incredible boredom! I can't hope to understand or even comprehend the power/will/intent of any god, much less the Logos, but to think he already knows and has planned everything we have done, are doing, and will ever do...what's the point? Why even create a universe that cannot change? How incredibly boring, I reiterate!
The greatest gift the Logos gave to mankind, and the dwarves and all the other races, was...
FREEDOM
The freedom of FREEWILL.
ULTIME FREEWILL
The ability to sail your own course through the UNCHARTED waters...the ability to remain bound to the land while others drift away to find their fortunes. There is no wrong/right in choosing or not choosing...it is what choice you make.
Speaking as one who has died many times, and been reborn through the grace of the Logos, I seem to recall two tapestries in a beautiful hall...one of a child born to the streets, and the other born to a good home...anyway, you all know the rest.
As the voice of Sarapis intones...we have the CHOICE. The SPIRIT of chaos, not chaos itself, ever strives to break down the things which we should build to unite us...the church, the city-state, the guild. (Before anyone jumps on me for this last one, realize that ultimate chaos has NO organization)
The SPIRIT of order, not order itself, ever strives to reign in the wild nature of chaos. To set down definite boundaries to all things.
Both are required for the experience of life. Both are necessary...the light and the dark, perhaps that is why we have day...and night?
Anyway, I hear some goblins calling my name, or was it rats?....I seem to be a little low on cash.....think I'll go impose some of my will upon these foul creatures...hehehe
