Good and Creation

Lord Phaestus,

Forgive me but, though I no longer hold any allegiance to the Church, I
must disagree with what You wrote concerning the duty of we defenders of
Creation.

As followers of the Light, we pledge ourselves in service to Good - to a
force devoted to the continued growth and well-being of Creation. We are
tasked, indeed, with defending Creation from threats both within and
without. We oppose Chaos as a threat against Creation as an outside
force; we oppose Evil, Darkness and others as threats against the
well-being of Creation despite being part of Creation themselves.

Regardless of my own thoughts on the attack against Twilight's influence
in the Darkenwood, I have trouble believing that this was done on a
whim, or because Shallam and the hierarchs of Celestia felt like it. I
will not disagree with everything You wrote, but I feel that Your
accusations of hypocrisy at least are misplaced in this instance.

Respectfully,

Silas Maynard

PS, to Mot: You made a single interesting point in your post, #18726,
but your facts were a little off. Shallam wages war on Ashtan only
because of Ashtan's continued defence of Chaos. So long as Ashtan's
government continues to push its citizens into defending, supporting and
assisting the Occultist House and the Cult of Babel in their combined
madness, the Light will continue to oppose their efforts, as well as the
efforts of the city that they lead. It is unfortunate that many Ashtani
still fail to understand this, but you have had ample warning and
explanations already.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Ero, in the year 565 AF.
