Questions regarding the Divine

Lord Matsuhama is not the Divine Patron of my House. Does this mean us
Warlocks are not fit to do combat?

The Elder God of the Seas does not Patron any organization I belong to.
Should I jump ship and avoid the ocean?

I do not prostrate myself in worship of the Twin Lords. So I am immune
to suffering? I am unable to be oppressed, or to contribute to another's
oppression?

There exists no formal relationship between Ashtani and the Goddess,
Lady Valnurana - yet many of us feel the influence of Her Realm nightly.

Lord Pentharian is not a God of Ashtan, so we are incapable of valour?

Shallam pays no tribute to Lord Pandemonium, thus Shallamese are
incapable of causing strife and derision?

I will not tell you, Aktillum, nor the citizens of Eleusis, what you or
they must and must not do. I will, however, advise that you do not cite
events you do not understand fully as a way of supporting whatever
argument it is you're making. Lord Vastar is not the Divine Patron of
Ashtan, and it's true, Ashuran leadership at some point decided to
replace Him with Lord Babel.. but you know what?

They had the freedom to make such a choice.

The posts of late have not been a discussion of philosophy, of Chaos and
Creation, or of the subtleties belonging to such and such Divine's
realm. This has been a discussion between mortals of real, current
events. From my perspective, the situation is simple. Two cities,
neither of which Eleusis seems to have the might to resist on their own,
are at war. Siding with one will provoke retaliation from the other. The
Overseer of Ashtan who, surprisingly, doesn't want to be Tyrannus, has
made the village a reasonable offer to avoid continued bloodshed.

In closing, I will mention that I also have friends and immediate family
belonging to Eleusis. Does this have any bearing on my stance regarding
the current conflict? I'm a soldier of Ashtan, of course it doesn't.
Shallam wages war on us, and if Eleusis sides with the Jewel of the
East, there is only one clear way to proceed for those of us with oathes
to the Bastion.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Ero, in the year 565 AF.
