I am Linus, in my youth I spent days on end speaking with Lady Gaia in
her temple, playing chess speaking of cheeses. As I aged, I was the
first Shallamese member of Fianna, an organization set to defend the
forest even before the founding of your village. I am a friend of the
forest and as such I need to clarify what has happened today.

A time ago, through the assistance of a corrupt priest, Lord Twilight
manipulated Celestia with a great cloud of darkness. Celestia is the
realm from which the guardian angels of the Priest Guild originate. This
cloud prevented the proper channeling of our guardian angels into the
prime material plane. We learned today this energy was anchored in the
Darkenwood forest, and that purging the forest of that anchor, and the
dark energy contained within would cleanse the cloud from Celestia.

First, I pose this question. If Lord Twilight cared about your forests,
why would he anchor dark energy there, that would, of course, for the
Church to act against it bringing the forests into the crossfire.
Surely, there are other places he could anchor this energy, Surely, his
quest to harm Celestia wasn't as important as the health of this forest.
Second, I propose this. This act, that he was SO quick to give up after
YOUR victory against Shallam, wasn't meant to harm Celestia. It was
meant to drive a wedge between Eleusis and Shallam. It is now up to you
if you will listen to the Plotter, who in the past has worked to free
Sartan from underneath his mountain, releasing the blighted fog into
your forests before. The Plotter who helped to cut the tongue and eyes
from Lady Valnurana to give Sartan the power to create Mhaldor.

You can play the part that Lord Twilight of the Shadows has placed in
your lap, or, you can see the truth behind the truth of his actions.
Shallam and the Church must play their part, You, however, have a
choice.

Finally, I would ask any of you to look into the history of the
Darkenwood, and listen to Lady Gaia's warning about the abomination that
was created with her unwilling merger with the Dark one
