For many years due to some Dark influence a cloud of interference has
been hindering the link between the Priest's of this realm and the
guardian angels that come to their aid in times of need. This link has
hindered Priests from being able to summon their angels to their side.
In effect this hindrance had the effect of blocking Priests from being
able to use their skill known as Spirituality. To draw an analogy to
forestals, you might think of this as being something like a force that
had the effect of blocking you from being able to enter the forest, or
even your own grove at will.

The Church and Priests in the realm have cast about for a solution since
the problem presented itself early in the year 552. Though we have
exhausted every opportunity to research this problem nothing had
presented a solution until this month. A hierarch from Celestia visited
Shallam and directed us toward Darkenwood where we were instructed to
purge the Dark from the forest.

I should tell you that the Church's philosophy is that the forest is
part of Creation, a force which we are sworn to protect. We have nothing
to gain from extermination or burning the forests down. This is why we
have always come to your aid when the forests have been under attack.

And while a few of your ranks jumped to conclusions that we were
damaging the forests, in fact no damage occured and no plants were
harmed during this event. Apparently no lasting damage was left, except
perhaps for some hurt feelings as the result of hasty words.

Had the opportunity allowed for the chance to notify Oakstone, we would
have gladly done so, but at the time an urgency was necessary.

Please do accept from me, on behalf of the Church and the Priests of
Sapience an apology for any lingering effects from this event. It
remains our joint will that Nature be fully protected as a part of
Creation. We will continue to rally to your side when the word goes out
that Nature is under attack. Should any member of the Church ever be
found to participate in the harming of Nature or the forests, please do
not hesitate to contact me directly for any assistance I may have within
my power.
