Today, Eleusis will be making an announcement on her own terms.

The distortion of the truth will likely spread through the Bastion of
the North, to whom I would strongly advise not to bother provoking a
response from me, as they will not get one. Eleusis will not, at this
time, or any other, enter into an agreement with Ashtan while its
current leader stands in office.

Eleusis has always sought peace wherever peace may reasonably be found,
and has been reluctant to punish those in Ashtan who are innocent of any
offense against Eleusis for the crimes of its murderers, exterminators,
and oathbreakers. And so for all Ashtan's many crimes we have not yet
responded. But as the citizenry of Ashtan has not, apparently, found
anything to object to in being made party to the betrayal of honourable
treaties, and as aggression against Eleusis continues ceaselessly
without grounds, this welcoming forebearance seems increasingly
inappropriate.

For the citizens of Ashtan, the undiluted truth is available. I would
urge that you seek it. You will need only ask it of me. Eleusis neither
wants or needs your sympathy but knows that only while the corruption of
your Leaders stand, will you be lied to constantly and lose the
friendships you once had.
