Regarding Cyrenian Law.

Greetings Sapience.
I merely wished to address the world in light of some instances coming
up whereupon there is confusion about the Cyrene Law regarding hiding
from combat within our city.
Our laws state that using the city as a avenue to escape immediate
retalitation from your actions is prohibited. This is the same as quite
a few Cities have passed in their own lands.
Several times over the years I have heard this law misapplied or had
individuals seek for me to apply this law without full reason. Thus I
was hoping to bring a bit of clarification so that we can all avoid such
mistakes in the future.
This is law is designed to remove situations which force people to
initiate combat within cyrene (also against our laws) due to the fact
that their target escapes combat by entering cyrene and refusing to
leave (expecting the law against combat to cease hostilities). This law
is not designed to allow you to suddenly decide you wish to slay an
individual and thus request they be removed from Cyrene where they have
been visiting peacefully prior to your decision to hunt them down.
If you are actively engaged in combat or chasing an individual who has
ducked into Cyrene to avoid you, please alert our leadership and
security team, they will ask the person to leave upon pain of enemy
status and death. If you are asked to leave, I would suggest you do so
though and if you have an issue with the complainer, please address the
matter politely and privately when you have gained a resting place
elsewhere. Should someone be in the habit of falsely asking us to remove
people, their words would only logically lose value as their accusations
pile up.
In regards to another recent issue, I would hereby like to ask that any
individual actively raiding or provoking a city or major organization to
please seek your immediate rest in a city other than Cyrene. Should you
be involved in a raid upon a city, please allow some time after your
egress from the matter before visiting the City of Cyrene so that we can
ensure you are not breaking our laws, even on accident. Thank you for
understanding.
I hope this clarifies matters.
