Nature .vs. Lord Babel

After having read Ravien's post, I felt it would be interesting to look
further into the opposing forces of Nature and Chaos. What I found
surprised me, as I have come to feel that Eleusis may be fighting
against a potential ally. I have, in my past, been both a servant of
Nature and of Chaos, and through my experiences feel a connection with
both of the forces. Nature is not only a loving, caring force. It does
not simply nurture those who follow it and heal all it touches. It is a
process of events, phenomena, and cycles which lead smoothly into one
another and creates a renewable, evolving system. Just as new seeds can
only only sprout when spurred by the heat of a forest fire, sometimes
nature must sacrifice part of itself to assure the prosperity of the
whole. As Nature grows and becomes more powerful, it must change.
Stagnation and inflexibility mean death to Her. Through talks with
various members of Lord Babel's order, I discovered that Lord Babel
Himself is a strong advocate for Nature, and instills in His followers a
sense of respect for Nature. None of the occultists I spoke to expressed
anything but respect for the forest and its many bounties. While I
respect and honor the choices made by Eleusis, one may be inclined to
feel that the forces and people who harm Nature, on the other hand,
should be the object of Eleusis' scrutiny, not the followers of a newly
awakened God. It is my humble opinion that the strength of Eleusis would
better serve its cause were she to learn more of Lord Babel. Herb bans
and punitive action by the Green should be focused on those who
-INTENTIONALY- harm Nature, not those who introduce variance into the
system.
