Greetings Sapience,

In Imyrr Rousseau's public post, this time period referred to is called
the Burning Times. The accounts of the Burning Times discovered are a
series of letters and journals that account for these years, but have
been interpreted in various ways, often times, at the expense of the
Luminai.

The Occultists of this period worked in Cabals. These Cabals existed in
various cities and villages and remained very secretive of their work.
During this time, many Occultists pressed forward with the process of
Transmogrify.

Transmogrification, in theory, is when an Occultists harnesses Karma
into their own beings by encasing their aura in a Chaotic sheath. Near
death, an Occultist would use this power to become a Chaos Lord. This
process is very dangerous and the consequences were deadly. The first
among the Occultist to attempt this experiment was Shakira Algonkilor.
Though she successfuly became a Chaos Lady, her mind and soul was lost
among the confusion of Chaos, beyond retrieval. And this is now commonly
referred to as the Shakira Effect.

It is often a misconception that the Burning Times was a period in which
the Luminai and members of the Templar recklessly slaughtered the
Occultists for their work and efforts. In truth, the mutilated bodies
found were the consequences of the attempts of transmogrification.
Furthermore, this process brought remnants of the Taint, and thus, the
Luminai performed many rituals to cleanse the realm to prevent the Taint
from causing more harm.

In truth, the Occultist did stay with the Countess Belladona for a
period of time in which they did take upon the skill of Necromancy.
However, Necromancy is a dark art already existing at that present time.
Responsibility does not lie upon the followers of Light for the creation
of Necromancy. Furthermore, it is incorrect to blame Good for the
creation of Necromancy. Good is not a person nor a representation of a
group of people. For further clarification, Good is a driving force that
promotes the growth of Creation. You cannot attack Good, but rather, you
attack the individuals. Good just is, a force that will always be.

For too long have the workings of Chaos been allowed to manifest. For
too long have the Occultist been allowed to pursue the magick of the
Occult. And as this continues, a window exists between two realms never
meant to coincide.
