Gentlemen,
It appears that you have woefully misread that which I wrote. Allow me
to state my aims more clearly: I am curious as to the motivations of the
Sultan of Shallam, and the lengths to which he will go.
I am not criticising the Jewel of the East, or its actions, nor did I
make any mention of the Bastion of the North, as the gentleman who
cannot seem to remember his own name has suggested.
(Linus, Vondas, whoever you are, I suggest that you sit and have a good,
long think upon what your name is. It might serve you well in the
future.)
War between Ashtan and Shallam has carried on since I was but a young
lad, frequently on the flimsiest of pretences. As such, I felt no
particular desire to ask questions in regards to the nature of the
current disagreement between those cities. Rather, I was curious as to
the war against Chaos, a highly ephemeral thing for the most part. Thus,
my questions, directed at the face of the war.
Neuroi (since we are being familiar and all), while I thank you for your
intriguing discourse on the nature of Chaos, I do hope you will forgive
me if I ignore it entirely. I have spent much time studying the subject,
utilising research I do not believe you have attempted. This includes
speaking with the Lady Eris, whom I'm sure we can all agree is the most
knowlegable regarding Chaos, save for perhaps the Pentad in their glory.
I would also imagine that the occultists, having spent more time than
any other group of mortals actively studying and attempting to
understand Chaos, would know its true form better than those who simply
study to denounce it.
After all, those who study only to denounce and/or destroy something
tend to be less thorough in their studies, focussing themselves only on
what is wrong with it, what they can use to frighten others.
Now, those of you who have other queries and questions, and
denouncements of myself, rather than wasting space on this board with
such, simply write me a letter, or initiate a conversation with me. It's
cheaper, and will irritate fewer people.
As for the Sultan, I still await his reply.
