Since so many of you have presumed to greet me with accusations of 'foul
play' with reference to the defense of Chaos, I will address this matter
publicly.

The followers of Chaos are not barred from defending Mhaldor or
attacking the Light. Likewise, Mhaldorians are not barred from defending
Ashtan or attacking the Light.

The assumption that Evil owes Shallam respite in the light of a renewed
acquaintance with old enemies is laughable. The presumption that Mhaldor
would hold hostilities in abeyance while the citizens of Shallam, in
conjunction with their own allies, continued to provoke the servants of
Evil is even more amusing. I'll reference the most recent offenses
occurring 10th Mayan or thereabouts, in which Shallamese and Eleusians
together took it upon themselves to siege the Mhaldor isle.

I sincerely hope this clears up any confusion.
