To Gnaash and Goryllin,

My dear Goryllin, of course. How could I forget you? You are the
exception that proves the rule as my old arithmetic tutor would have
said. But if I may continue to speak in cliche, one swallow does not a
summer make.

And Gnaash, methinks I am not the only one who seeks to cover his
cleverness with a little wordplay. However, one who grasps the issues so
easily should be able to better navigate the stormy seas of grammar. But
as I am sure you are aware, to be underestimated is often useful.

In response to your clever post, my intentions ought to be clear. But
consider this: I spoke only the truth. Ironically, for one whose stock
in trade is theft and espionage, I only speak the truth. A deserved
reputation for honesty is a hard-won thing, not to be traded lightly.
And it is honesty that I give the public with these posts.

Cyrene truly does spit in the face of Shallam's ideals. Cyrene securing
the Effigy of Victory truly will provide benefit to Occultists. Cyrene
truly would enemy a Shallamite who sought to attack a servant of Evil
within Cyrene. Cyrene truly does agree treaty with the enemies of
Shallam. Cyrene truly does almost never (Goryllin's wounded pride
notwithstanding) lift a hand in defence of Shallam.

If I were a Cyrenian, I would find it difficult to avoid laughing at my
naive Shallamese brothers who give so much in return for so little.

I speak only the truth. The purposes for which I reveal that truth
should be plain to any who know me, but it is the truth nonetheless. If
it is a truth which Shallam is prepared to stomach, I will simply mark
it down as another instance of Shallamite hypocrisy, and the continued
decline of the Jewel into sad irrelevance.

What others choose to do with the truth (and I have no expectation that
the sclerotic Shallamese will do anything) is not my responsibility.

I merely observe.

In the meantime, it is a pleasure to debate with one whose wit is sharp.
I msy well purchase you a grammatical textbook, so that the styling of
your posts may, in future, match their content.

In service to the Master,
Tenebrus.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Ero, in the year 450 AF.
