Cyrene's Relations with Shallam and Mhaldor

Hah!

Even though I do not tend to care for the relations Cyrene tends to have
with Shallam, I felt that I, with my 150 years of service in Cyrene,
should correct you.

You weave plenty of falsehoods amongst so few truths. While it is true
that Shallam and Cyrene tend to assist each other during Capture the
Flag tournaments, by no means are they the only city Cyrene has
supported. And by no means is Shallam the only city that has supported
us in such endeavours. And Cyrene does not take these matters lightly.
If you happened to hear one of our own snickering about such a thing,
which I seriously doubt is true, then you were in the presence of one
who really didn't understand such matters.

Two, and most of all, is your assertion that Cyrenians have never lifted
a hand to support Shallam in defense. How wrong you are! We allow
members of the Church and from Shallam's Houses to become citizens in
our city, and you think they would just sit back and do nothing? Sir
Osis was a long time citizen, and railed that Cyrene should do MORE
against Mhaldor by raiding the city itself despite our treaty. Cyrene
would not stoop so far though. So, again, you are wrong. Wrong, wrong,
wrong.

I would say that Mhaldor has benefited from our treaty with it. You've
never had to worry about a potential Shallam/Cyrene army at your door,
barring the War of the Divine Child where we took part mostly due to the
damage that incident inflicted on Cyrene.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Ero, in the year 450 AF.
