Of Warps and Cancellation, Revisited

Saria,

In response: while the Shastaan incident was isolated, you specifically
and repeatedly reserved the right to cancel any warps in proximity to a
shrine, even on being told that this included over half of our warp hub.

It was at this point that you decided to begin insulting my intelligence
and manner, whereas previously our dialogue had been civil.

If you now back down from your previous statement (and, if it seems that
Shallamese other than the Striders are responsible for the Shastaan
cancellations), perhaps I will discuss things with Hieyoko, who has
always had a civil tongue in his head. I hear, in any event, you have
stepped down as Lady of the Morning and, might I add, not a moment too
soon. Perhaps when that House is ruled by wiser heads, this kind of
thing could be avoided. How your House (and the city too I hear from my
spies!) must be breathing a sigh of relief. Perhaps the Striders can
finally begin to pick themselves up after your undistinguished tenure.

One final word. Civility in discourse is of the utmost importance to me,
and I would not dream of insulting a representative of a House, without
first being provoked. When last we spoke, you admitted that you were the
first to insult. The most you claimed was that you objected to my
"patronising" tone. Sadly, it is the fate of the dull-witted to often
feel talked down to by those who are more nimble of phrase and thought.
What a shame your House had to suffer for your feelings of inadequacy.

Yours,
Tenebrus.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Ero, in the year 448 AF.
