The first of many victories

The forces of New Ashtan saw victory today, as they marched on the
temple of the Pandorans. As they made their way over the Dakhota hills,
the rising sun cast an aura of brilliance of that which was to be the
grounds for a most glorious, but also most one-sided battle. The
rampaging forces overran the defenders within minutes. Some might chalk
this up to the 'defenders' consisting of an acorn and wolf, which was
easily chased off by shaking sticks and making loud noises. The acorn
fought valiantly, but was no match for the might of New Ashtani
military.
The Most Holy Empire of New Ashtan has sacked the temple, and has
annexed the remnants, as one of their many farciful foreign territories.
Our triumph today is but one of many in the viscous war which is sure to
ensue. That is, of course, unless the Pandorans would like to save face,
and accept the following terms of surrender:
1) You will not wear pants on the 14th of the month.
2) We get the magpie. We will name it Curtis. We will love it forever.
