Gaishan,

Just a few points in response to your post I thought I'd get around to
saying.

Ashtan sees where it's efforts have gotten it, and what has happened
during the times of the war. Thank you for stating the obvious, we're
not as delusional as your post made us out to be. Whether or not the
Vertan are here to stay is really not something we're overly concerned
with, what happened with Ashtan was the Vertan were making demands upon
us and we weren't able to reconcile our differences though attempts were
made. If some stranger came in and started telling you how to run your
household would you allow them to do so?

As for these concesssions that the Vertani made.. Hingar had taken it
upon himself the "distasteful" task of learning our language(Public
13777). True the Vertan can bless us with the ability to speak their
language, which we did in an attempt to cater to them, yet learning our
language is somehow beneath them and Hingar has acted as if speaking
with us in our tongue is somehow degrading to him.

Then there was the Vertani's summit, they were offended that no city
leaders showed, yet after hearing of the recounting from several
sources, many of which were supposedly neutral parties in this war, my
Archons were present and were attacked first. I really should ask
whether I should have been offended when the Vertani didn't attend my
summit, I even made allowances with my security teams to allow them free
passage to attend should they show and only react if attacked first.

The final point I'll mention is in regards to the fortress that was set
in the Center of the Theran ruins. You state it as if it were some great
gift that they decided to do such a thing, yet the land that they built
their fortress upon was not owned by them. They had attempted to erect a
fortress at NoT without the Theran's approval when they were courting
their allegience along with Ashtan, when it was brought up it was
surprise to the Therans that they had tried to erect one without their
say. Then after completely destroying the town, they up and plopped
another one down in the wreckage and only removed it after the public
objection to it. I'm not saying that I'm not appreciative that they did
remove it, I am very much so as a matter of fact, but it wouldn't have
been an issue had they not placed it there in the first place.

With the recent appointment of the new Overlord and the changes that
have happened since then, such as the moving of the Theran fortress, my
opinion of the Vertani overall has shifted a bit to be less negative
than before. I've been wondering lately what would be different if they
had a different mouth peice. The recent threat to Blackrock was an
interesting thing to hear.. "Hey you, stay out of it, you saw what we
did to the last ones who got involved! Though we're very sorry we did
that everyone, really we are!" I'm rather interested to see how this
line of conversation ends myself.
