Hello everyone,

The Vertani have expressed remorse for the Overlord Drafaris's
rash decision to destroy Thera, and their actions since have
been consistent with that. The Overlord has begun to receive
consequences for his actions, beginning with his exile from
our plane, and I sincerely hope that he will bear some
consequences beyond exile.

In addition, the Vertani have made intention to amend their
mistake by rebuilding Thera. They have agreed to bear the cost
of construction, and they have also agreed to supply the necessary
labour for the actual building process. As Sapiens, though, we
are more likely to know what kind of layout and structures would
be better for Therans (or their descendants, or other Sapiens that
may who choose to settle there). The Vertani agree, and have asked
for our help. The design process is to begin with us.

To this end, I have put into service a personal clan to
faciliate communication during the design phase, and I am
first extending an invitation to the ruling council members
of any city who wishes to be part of this process. Simply
contact any member of Shallam's ruling council to be inducted.
All ruling council members will have induct priviledges, so
that they may induct anyone from their city that they feel would
be able to contribute positively. The only condition for
participating is that any city which is involved in this process
-must- agree that they will leave Vertani workers and the soldiers
protecting them unmolested in Thera as they go about the business
of restoring the town.

It is my hope that in working with the Vertani on the rebuilding
of Thera we may begin to relate to them in a new fashion...one
of mutual benefit, trust, and cooperation.
