The Possible Rebuilding of Thera

Greetings and good tidings, Sapience.
Cyrene would like to invite all cities, and the citiless, to join the
clan proposed by Solar. We would furthermore wish to declare that Cyrene
joins this effort in order to promote the clan prioritizing the will of
Thera, and the 'all' of Sapience in their stead, in making decisions as
to whether to rebuild Thera and how to do so.
Cyrene is dedicated to ensuring that whatever decisions are made in
regards to Thera belong ultimately to the Therans. In the event of their
continued absense or silence, Sapience as a whole needs to come
together, focused not on our individual and perhaps sometimes dividing
interests, but with our collective eyes focused vigilantly only upon
making decisions which truly honour the Theras and the world's needs for
healing from the psychological and physical devastation that is the
decimation of Thera. And, there is no doubt, many decisions will need to
be made, including but not limited to whether to rebuild Thera, and if
so where, whether to create a memorial, blueprints for what will be
build, who will build it and with what resources,etc...
We wish to ensure that if there is to be a New Thera, it would not be
affiliated with any particular alignment or city - and will belong unto
itself and as part of the global community as it always has. We would
not wish to see a New Thera created on a foundation of internal
resentment within the realms as to how She was refounded, particularly
on top of the wounds of how She was destroyed. As such, we believe that
all efforts must be made to talk to any and all surviving Therans and
honor their wishes above all else. And, furthermore, we would propose
that the Vertani be involved in this effort only to the extent that it
is the will of the Therans, or in their absense a clear majority of
Sapience, for them to do so.
As such, if any Therans are reading this post, please do reply at your
earliest opportunity, via public or private mechanism as you prefer. It
is essential that your voice be heard and your will be prioritized over
all else as we attempt to move forward to make positive meaning from
this tragedy, which touched all of us but none in a way uncomparable to
the losses you have suffered.
Hail, Sapience,
