Notice from the Hashan Chancellor

Written by: Xzander Leafwalker
Date: Wednesday, February 23rd, 2005
Addressed to: Everyone

To all shopkeepers and their assistants owning or running a shop in
Hashan, there is an important new addition to the Retail Property Code.
Please read the new subsection. Please don't hesitate to ask any
questions if anything is unclear.

Section 2 Subsection E

A shop owner that fails to meet the tax deadline, but does pay all
outstanding taxes before the final date of repossession, outlined in
Section 2 Subsection C, will have their shop assessment value raised as
follows: first offence shall be forgiven, but an increase of 10,000 gold
on the assessed value of the shop for each subsequent offence. On the
fifth offence the shop shall be seized by the city, as outlined in the
relevant sections. Offences counted towards this subsection are counted
regardless of whether they happened in succession or not. If no
deadlines are missed for a period of 5 years, then the earliest offence
will be removed from the record and shop assessment value adjusted
accordingly. The Chancellor has the right to remove any number of
offences from the record at his discretion. A record will be kept by the
Chancellor, and any shop keeper or registered shop ally may enquire as
to how many offences are on record by contacting the Chancellor or any
of his aides.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Daedalan, in the year 386 AF.
