Okay, I'm getting really sick of all this "Vertani innocent lives" crap,
cause that's pretty much what it is. Crap. Now lets go over things from
the beginning. Rocktamer killed a scout, okay that *could* be deemed as
innocent, but it's really not, being that they are scouting out the area
looking to measure threats, knowing full well they could be attacked
and/or killed since they didn't know what resided in this realm. So
there is Vertani death number one. Not. Innocent.

From there Szanthax and Xtassy went through and wiped out El Jaz. Now
before we move on, I do believe both parties stood up to take
responsibility for their actions, but were ignored, their actions
instead used as justification to raid a city of innocent people
uninvolved up until that point. So now, what did we have in El jazira?
Vertani workers? yes, innocent. Vertani soldiers? You've got to be
kidding me.

Now see, right there, that's the whole point of this post. Soldiers.
S-O-L-D-I-E-R-S. Let's think about this long and hard children. The
majority of Vertani deaths have been soldiers. Soldiers are (1) trained
for combat. Soldiers (2) know the ways of war. Their purpose is for
combat, imagined threats and otherwise. Soldiers. Are. Not. Innocent.
Especially in Vertani society, where they are brought up from the
beginning in a "house" where they train their skills, and I hope
learning, that by god, their skill could get them *killed*. Yes, that's
right, killed. It happens to soldiers sometimes, amazing, I know.

So lets stop with the delusions that the Vertani were just here prancing
in fields and picking flowers, and we, the evil, horrible, creatures of
sapience ruthlessly murdered them and tangoed with their corpses.
Soldiers are creatures of war, they are a *threat*. Shallam and Hingar
need to stop acting like people were hopping through the portal raping
their women and killing their children, because they play no part in
this equation.

On the other hand, how many novices did your soldiers kill in the raids
on Ashtan and Mhaldor, how many people completely uninvolved in this
mess were killed in your raids on Ashtan and Mhaldor, not to mention the
destruction of Thera? Those are the truly innocent. Not Estan, not the
soldiers. Stop pointing fingers. Your words were "if you do not bend,
you will break.", "We'll civilize you whether you like it or not." And I
can say those are your words whether you said them or not, because your
race is singular, you stand for the same thing, so obviously if one of
your kind said them, you no doubt support them. Regardless, they are
threats, I don't know what else they could be construed as. Stop
pretending to be suprised that people retaliated against you *once
again* after your oh-so-unagressive summit, but you kind of brought it
on yourselves.
