A brief response

Greetings to you, Ardesco.

I invite you to verify the contents of my previous posts. At no time
have I claimed that any were sub-sapient, however tempting that
designation may be, and however often your own people use it to
describe others of your plane.

I have called some of your plane, among other things, "neanderthal."
Please refer to an Achaean dictionary, as I have done. In brief -
"primitive," or "old fashioned and not willing to change," or
"rude or offensive." Again, and I think for the last time, I stand
by this designation. The proof of the validity of this claim is
posted almost daily on your own public boards. It might even be said
that you all spend as much time calling each other such things
("rude or offensive," "primitive," or "old fashioned and not willing
to change") more often than nearly anything else. If you are unable
to find that in your own public posts, well, I rest my case, and we
must then simply agree to disagree without being disagreeable.

How do you know mayor ariel isn't coming back? And if mayor ariel
isn't coming back, and you are sure of it, well, Mayor Ariel was
no innocent, but actively chose war with the Vertani and alliance
with Ashtan. Surely, that was the Mayor's choice, and the mayor
knew the risk.

I made no claim of an eye for an eye. I claimed that we may have
overreacted, or something quite similar at least.

What countless innocents were killed? I can number nearly a thousand
of our people, including perhaps a few dozens of innocents. And none
of ours will ever return.

Perhaps a dozen or two Theran innocents - as perhaps some were -
maybe that many are gone. Apparently you do not know either. But if
they are, well, I have already covered our thoughts, and regrets
over such a situation.

I revel in the thought that you would like to forge a lasting peace.
When some headway is made, I will find even more joy in it.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Sarapin, in the year 386 AF.
