I speak for only myself when I say I am truly saddened by your recent
course of action. Since you came here you have punished people for their
disrespect towards you. Did the Therans attack and kill Estan? Why would
you unleash your vengeance upon them? Not only that, but there were
those whom you called friends in Thera and you killed them as well. If
you recall I asked you in our meeting in Shallam what is was you
required of a friend and one of the things you said was trust. This is a
grave breach of trust, in my opinion.
I am not sure at what point we, the inhabitants of this land became
children in which you feel it is your right and/or duty to "discipline".
We are not your children, nor do we owe fealty or allegience to you
which would give you the authority to punish us. Undoubtedly, the murder
of Estan must have enraged you, but to carry out a sentence of
annihilation on an entire village, slaying its innocents along with its
guilty...it is no better than what they have done to you. You have
become like them now. Or were you like that always and we just failed to
notice. Or perhaps some of us did not wish to rush to judgement.
I am sorry, Hingar, but I myself request an explanation of more
substance than the one you gave, for it simply does not justify what you
have done.
As a side note, one of your magelords lies dead in Thera, blackened and
charred like the rest of the town. Is this how you treat your friends
AND your countrymen?
