To Mhaldor

To the dignitaries of Mhaldor who although delve in Evil are honorable
and proud. We might have a lot of differences you and I. We seek the
Light, whilst you seek to promote Evil. You seek to conquer and destroy
whilst we seek to protect and build. But even though we have great
differences, even the mighty warriors of Mhaldor surely tire of war. You
seek to promote Evil, to become stronger and I quote "What is called
evil is simply the drive for advancement, for greatness. We seek,
through discipline and pain, to spur the advancement of nothing less
than sentient life." Is this war the type of Advancement Mhaldor seeks?
Yet you may claim that the "body may be made stronger through combat."
But I ask of you, how many have died at the hands of the Vertani
repeatedly and thus losing great amounts of experience, essence and
such? Is this the type of Strength Mhaldor seeks? Surely war is not the
answer to your truths. Or you intend to remain in a perpetual state of
war with the Vertani simply because you believe them to be a 'threat'?
"Ixidor you are most certainly an enemy of 'strength...' for you
'...trumpet the effeminate values of forgiveness, tolerance, and laxity
of discipline.' Therefore we will continue to seek war." And at the cost
of what? Mhaldor's own strength? Are not even the lifeline of Mhaldor,
the novices, the apprentices, the students also considered part of this
war? How will they be given a chance to mature to strengthen in Evil if
they are constantly as well as Mhaldor being attacked? Furthermore have
not the Truths claim you must seek to become stronger at all times? How
will then your future nobles, warriors, apostates, hunters and merchants
grow in said strength if they are always killed and therefore loosing
yet more of their hard earned experience through combat instead of
gaining it? I see no strength gained in this. And I see no strength in
Mhaldor if you remain at war.
Granted we may have a lot of disagreement. My teachings are completely
different to yours. But even though we are 'enemies' due to our
ideologies I find great respect for Mhaldor as a City. Even in Evil they
are honorable, efficient and greatly devoted to their God and their
leader. But it is evident that a war of this magnitude is not the way
for Mhaldor to become a great City of Evil... but then again I might be
wrong. Then again you have sought this war and are content with it... I
cannot say walk in Light to you, though I would wish it could one day
become true. But I do say think it over Mhaldor. A perpetual state of
war costs many resources and in the end a war wanes strength.
