I would like to begin with by stating that what follows are my own
thoughts and opinions, they do not represent the general views of either
Lord Sartan or Lord Thoth or of Mhaldor as a whole.
Ranna, people who constantly scream Youre a Mhaldorian, Your views
obviously dont count because your a stupid, horrid, nasty little
Mhaldorian pawn! Look they team, everybody look, they team, those dirty
cheats! is really beginning to wear thin on me and probably a growing
section of Sapience population. If thats the best you can really
muster, perhaps you shouldnt post on these boards again.
Those who chose to follow him [Darknight] did so of their own will free
will.
No one is forced to join Mhaldor iether. No one is forced to follow Lord
Sartan's Truths; no one is forcefully bent at the knee before Lord
Thoth. We all choose to of our own free will. If any one follows a
belief or ideology against their free will then, in /my/ opinion they
are weak. But this is a fact people just cannot seam to get even a basic
grasp of.
Is it really that difficult to understand?
People join Mhaldor freely. Obviously there is a certain level of
brainwashing and conditioning once with in our walls . . . but show me
some were different in these lands?
Show me a City were non are controlled by laws or social convention,
divine principles or moral ideals? You all speak of Freedom when in
truth; Freedom is a concept you yourselves do not even truly understand.
The Freedom that seams to be spoken of so offten over these boards is
nought more than propaganda and political spin. A nice word with many
appealing and soul stirring connotations attached to it. As soon as any
one does any thing in the name of Freedom, many will flock so blindly to
their banner. Throughout history Tyrant after Tyrant after Tyrant has
labelled his or her words with Freedom to ensure a subordinate society
tailored to his or hers selfish needs.
Some times it works, sometimes it doesnt.
And now Darknight, the political and strategic genius that he is, has
decided to use such a ploy to increase his own power base beyond that
which the Tanjinn could have offered him. Yet he has blundered his way
through the procedures with as much grace as a drunken basilisk. It does
look a lot like he was following his own selfish; greed motivated
desires . . . Freedom never even came into it. Unless of cause, your
talking about the Freedom that Power itself offers . . . but that is
another topic all together.
At least they did something on their own and for themselves. Good for
them.
They did good for Darknight more like, or not so good as the case may
have turned out. So then, Ranna, in your opinion if some one follows a
leader waving the banner of Freedom fanatically about his head then
they do so freely, of their own intent and for themselves . . . if they
follow a leader who carries Evil's standard apon his shoulders . . .
then they have been mindlessly enslaved by the leader and no longer
function on an individual, self-sufficent level. Pleas, I mean . . . how
can such an idealised view of the hole procedures even count as being
viable?
The only way to get a proper over view of any situation is through both
understanding and taking in as many views on said topic as possible. I
have pondered over your views, i can ashure you of that mutch, and have
come to my conclusions through narcissistic methods of assessment. The
key is to liberate oneself from all the chains society and life so
readily laidens on your shoulders. You must disconnect yourself
emotionally and mentally from the whole thing and be able to think
maturely and objectionably about /all/ that is presented before you.
If you had the ability to do this then youd perhaps see the subtle,
underlying currents of similarities flowing through this current
situation, amidst historie and amongst /every/ society on Sapience. They
are many, varied and complicated, but I shall focus finally on one
recurring theme through out Sapient culture . . . but something you
yourself seam to see as only exsisting in Mhaldor.
Can you show me a city that doesnt have a major element of bullys,
bigots, pawns, big mouths, thugs, fools, hypocrites, megalomaniacs, mini
tyrants and sheep residing with in its boarders?
And you wonder at me jubilation when an element of said section of my
own City ups and leaves of its own free will. Pardon me for my pawn like
ignorance . . . I didnt understand that thinking of such things was a
crime against intelligence and free thought.
For give me, I beg of thee.
