Dear Saruman,

Selective reading of the histories is quite alarming, especially for
one who claims to be remotely scholarly. You asked Brinn to know
his facts before posting -- yet you do not know your own, and do the
same things you condemned him for.

You quote the histories as saying that "at the time of Creation, He
created two realms. One, the realm we know, was filled with a
multitude of planes and universes, each with its own set of physical
and immutable laws." And then you somehow twist this quote to
mean that change could not and did not exist in this realm simply
because they had a set of physical and immutable laws which
defined them.

One will assume you are simply missing the obvious and not
intentionally going out of your way to misinform your readers. In
case you have not read the histories throughly, I will present a series
of quotes which completely eradicate your notion that change, and
progress could not exist without Chaos.

"He watched his creations interacting and experiencing the
wonderful uncertainty of their lives" (This is referring to the Divine
that Ayar created) Keeping with your use of clear definitions so
there can be no confusion, uncertainty means: "The condition of
being uncertain; doubt." With uncertain meaning: "Not known or
established; questionable. Not determined; undecided. Not having
sure knowledge. Subject to change;variable."

So it would seem that those who experienced Ayar's realm of
Creation, without the introduction of Chaos did in fact experience
things that were unexpected, and unpredictable, and indeed things
changed for them. In fact, the entire first chapter of the histories is
filled with things changing!

"Past legend and lore, before memory and myth, Ayar, the Creator,
willed into existence everything known and unknown." There's a
change. Things didn't exist. Ayar willed them to. Then they existed.
Change. "Some, like our own, grew to incredible size and
complexity, while others remained small and relatively uniform" So
they grew. Grow means: "To increase in size by a natural process."
So, they started as one size, then they grew to another size. They
changed.

Here's a few more quotes just to hammer the point home, in case
you're still confused. "Still, there were flashes of creativity in the
otherwise Cyrenaic aeons after the Creation." The histories blatantly
state there was creativity, not in the Chaos realm, but in the Creation
realm. Without any influence from Chaos. So it seems pretty clear
that Chaos cannot be the source of creativity, as it exists here quite
plainly without Chaos. In fact, without the influence of Chaos, quite
a few things were created, changed, and developed from the time
Ayar created the two realms, to the time Chaos entered into
Creation. In fact, your former race was created during that time by
Proteus. They seemed to be quite capable of changing things, and
being creative. "Ages came and went with the Tsol'aa building their
forest homes, the dwarves, under the supervision of Phaestus
building their mountain fortresses and the Gods and Aldar mastering
more and more of Creation. "

So it would seem abundantly clear from the same histories you
attempt to use to prove a faulty point, that Chaos is not the font from
which all change and creativity flows. It would seem that the Logos
would be that font, as He is the font for everything else.

Brinn had said, "..claim that Chaos is the primal force of change.."
was incorrect, and you responded with, "Entropy is at the heart of
Chaos, as everyone knows. Entropy is officially defined as, "A
measure of the disorder or randomness in a closed system." If
randomness doesn't cause once immutable things to change then I
don't know what does."

In fact, you should note from public post 9563 that Eris says,
"Neither am I Entropy or Discord.". Being that Erisians were the
subject of Brinn's statement and She references Herself in 9548 as
"Chaos (capitalized)" which you use in your response, those two
quotes seem to contradict your point. I wouldn't dispute Entropy as a
heart of randomness or change, but Eris has seemingly made it clear
that She is not Entropy, but She is Chaos.

And as for your question as to whether humans, myself
included, were blood relatives of Eris due to the fact that our great
Mother was raped by the Unnameable Horror which is a part of Eris,
that I simply don't know. I suppose we would be, but I won't
presume a blood relation with a Divine. What is your point? I
haven't heard anyone denying that humans, or their offshoots, have
Chaos in them. I know I certainly haven't. However, having
something be a part of you, and working to increase that part, or
spread it, or indeed turn all of Creation into just another Chaos
realm, are two quite different things.

In closing.. "Next time you post in public, please know your facts."
