Death is taking me

Written by: Quaero Aeris Hatori Sohma, Ulangi Woodland Scholar

Last breathing moments,
life flashes before me.
Memories long forgotten arise,
water starts to fill my eyes.
The heart beating slower,
chills riding up my spine.
Sleepness encompasses the mind.
It's time for me to finally die.
There is no need to fear,
what it is that comes to me.
I embrace its warm tender touch,
and trust it will lead me,
to where i have to be.

So as my eyes turn to rest,
and the lungs start to collapse.
I know i can feel safe,
now that Death is taking me.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Scarlatan, in the year 359 AF.
