Poetry News Post #1614

nervous

Written by: Scarlattan poet, Dumas s'Lessen, Artisan
Date: Wednesday, November 26th, 2003
Addressed to: Everyone

Sitting in awe of you
Nervously listening
The words that you speak
Flow freely and true
You reveal your Thoughts
Fears and Hopes
Your subject unknown
Yet not unknown

Silently writing beside you
Glancing softly
The glare off your hair
Shining like fire
Your smile in the sun
Has made me undone
The words still too soon
But not too early

Patiently painting you
My hand shaking with fear
Your mirth and smile inspire me
Your beauty astounds me
The words on my tongue
So soon will come
I will find my own way to say
I Love You.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Scarlatan, in the year 350 AF.
