You promised me that you would stay, and always be with me....
You promised me that you would be, the best you had to be....
You promised me that you would show, just how it was to live....
You promised me that you would show, just what it meant to 'give.'
You promised through the falling rain, the sun would stand to shine...
You promised when the clouds were gone, that you were always mine...
You promised though the lying weeks, that you were always true...
You promised through the slutty girls, I meant so much to you.
You promised though the icy months, that slowly turned to years...
You promised me that you'd be mine....And melt away my fears.
You promised you would rope the moon, and bathe me in its light..
You promised me you'd show me things, even without sight....
And yet through all the promises, you promised me you'd keep.....
I still have not seen one of them, hold true, each night I sleep.
And yet through tears that fall like rain...the feeling's still the
same.....
The feeling that I loved you so, and I'm the one to blame....
I made a promise, long ago, that still holds pure and true....
A promise I keep, until this day....When I said "I love you."
Penned by my hand on the 14th of Miraman, in the year 337 AF.
