A girl dies inside slowly
as she patches up her salted wounds
Another opens just as one is closed.
The neverending cycle breaks her furthermore.
The pressure is on; the night stands still
while she breathers her last breathe.
Inhale.
She exhales as her eyes shut for the last time.
Her heart stops and she becomes
Another useless body ready for the dirt.
but the girl lingers on
in the shadows.
Her spirit yearns to be awake
just to experience the love she never had.
