Mystery of the Dreamspear

As the final lingering rays of sunlight departed the sky on the first of
Valnuary, Apollonia nodded to herself and moved away from the precipice
of the Dreamspear. Sweeping her eyes over the mountainous landscape one
final time, with the icy sea to the north and quiet Saoghal valley to
the south, she moved into a small cavern to await the visitors she knew
would be coming.

Several days passed, but each evening Apollonia returned to the cavern,
patiently waiting. She was surprised to see Ashavarti Wildfang, a
Dreamer she knew well, but pleased all the same. With the help of the
silver dragon Tarvius, Ashavarti had prepared for the Dream journey, and
so Apollonia ushered her into the shadows to guide her to the
Dreamrealm.

Moments later, the pair returned. Despite years of experience with
Dreaming, Ashavarti was overcome by wonder. Apollonia smiled
approvingly; the words Ashavarti chose to leave behind were vivid and
poignant, likely to become a part of the common dreamscape shared by
mortalkind. As the Dreamer and her dragon companion departed the
Dreamspear, the seer returned to her cavern, awaiting the next pilgrim
to the northern peak.

Penned by My hand on the 6th of Phaestian, in the year 485 AF.
