Poetry News Post #4228

Serpent's sad strike.

Upon a summers glow, so sweet, we all know.
When look! Avast! A serpent swinging to and fro.
Upon a tree so high
as if he just might fly...
With one fell swoop, he whips like no tomorrow,
a noose, my love... they really have no sorrow.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Glacian, in the year 615 AF.
