Resolving My New Enemy Status With Ashtan

Dear Ashtan,

Sinking your ship earlier this month was a rare pleasure.

In most cases, there's a chase. But this time, Truax turned into the coastline and sat perfectly still. In most cases, there's return fire. Truax raised not a single weapon. In most cases, there's an attempt to extinguish onboard fires or chop tethers thrown from the enemy ship. I watched your ship burn of its own accord, fires unattended and grappling hooks left in place. I plundered it lazily and liberated a handful of darts. Truax was not using them anyway. She had long since abandoned ship.

While I am humbled that Ashtan has finally chosen to follow Cyrene, Eleusis, and Targossas--recognizing my hard work by enemying me for piracy--it is an honour that I cannot accept.

Truax sank your ship. I had (almost) nothing to do with it.

Fondly,

Kuriel Al'Jafri, Puddle Pirate
