Dearest Achaea,
I know Lady Lorielan said that Church matters are not for the public
board: however, since I can no longer bring this matter to the Church
newsboard, I am begging you all to please bear with me for a few
moments.
I am writing here today to address something that happened to me. As
some of you know, I am a good friend of Verlaine's. When he became
engaged to Shakti and was kicked out of his guild and the Church, I did
not speak out. I was sad, yes, but I trusted in the Church's judgement
and agreed with its decision.
However, I missed talking to Verlaine and knowing when he was in the
lands, unless I angel seeked him every ten minutes. Then the other day,
he asked me to join his new clan, titled "The Verlaine & Shakti Fan
Club." I weighed the options in my head: the title was controversial and
I was afraid the Church would not approve, but I would be able to talk
with Verlaine and quickly see if he was on or came on. Plus, I would be
able to speak with people from many different backgrounds - even though
I am not in Lady Lorielan's order, I consider myself a Student of
Knowledge, and this would be a wonderful opportunity to learn that which
I would not normally have a chance to.
And once I joined the clan, this is exactly what happened. I got to talk
to people I normally would not be able to, I was able to talk to
Verlaine over a channel, and the Church did not approve. I was
disfavoured by my guildmaster (which might put me at GR-1, if that is
possible) and told to quit the clan or leave the Church. I was
heartbroken, but yet again, I did what the Church requested.
But Verlaine had an idea. He completely changed the clan, from the name
down to its purpose. It was no longer the clan it was before - now it
was a meeting of minds, much like the Pirates of Jaru and the Social
Mavens. It was also made secret, specifically so that people like myself
could join - but this too was inappropriate for my guild. When I entered
the lands yesterday, my messages informed me that Alpine had outguilded
me. My skills, which I had trained at least up to adept, skilled, and
gifted were lost. My guardian angel Holy Bell, my closest companion, was
lost. I gained only 314 lessons back.
That is my story. As for my emotions...total shock and sadness beyond
mortal words sums it up. I know some of you understand and some of you
never will: I have simply told the facts, and by Sarapis the Logos, I
swear all true. Because of these events, I have taken upon myself the
title "Outcast". No matter what happens to me in my life, i will bear
this title to remind me.
