It would definately be a misconception of neutrality to say
that when it comes to picking sides a neutral guild would sit
on the fence. Neutrality often allows one to choose sides
instead of being oblidged to pick one by view of their ties
to said alignment. I do not believe that a neutral guild would
do nothing when something arose that directly affected them. It
was in all Gods and guilds interests to oppose Sartan and hence
everyone did so. You forget that I serve a guild that is
neutral/good, hence I know its definitions. However you are
still missing my point. Alignment _has_ to exist in order to
define and make light of the attitudes of each guild. If you
scrapped the use of alignment, how would you define the
Maldaathi as opposed to priests? You might come up with some
long winded definition but the simplicity of alignment
classification serves its purpose well. And I do repeat that I
was not limiting the scope of Caspian's emodiement by classifying
him as neutral. Neutral has a regarded set of attiudes
accompanying it, as does Good and Evil, and although things may
not fit exactly into a said alignment, the general classification
is good enough to give a general idea. Using these catagories
does not diminish my point in any way. If I was to not use these
catagories my post would have needed to have been FAR longer and
id rather save my ink and my time. Either way, people know what
I mean and I do not want to get tied into a years old debate
over alignment.
