Fog and that darn cute Daemon Azmodai

People impale themselves on a stalagmite after hearing a voice to do so.
The more they impale, the more power that flows into Azmodai and the
further the fog creeps. So, it the thought came to many, no doubt, "If
we kill the Impalers before they can impale, this will stop the
impaling." Makes sense. I don't disagree with the logic there.
But, we who have stood at the stinking pit and stared at the Projection
of Doom, know that well, the Impalers are just a little too fast and
before we know it, they have jumped into the pit, rejected their grace
and offered themselves in order to 'release' their God. There are two
issues here. One being, it's just not a practical or long-term solution
to 'kill them before they can kill themselves'. The second being, isn't
it a bit 'evil' to destroy people in the name of 'preserving' life
elsewhere? Obviously this situation is feeding off of death, and
although it may not directly benefit from the slaying of people in a
manner different than impaling on the stalagmite, it sure does spread
bloodlust, which yes is evil. So, either way they win.
So, there must be another way to thwart what seems inevitable at this
point. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction, is
there not? There could be some solution that involves the giving of life
and we have just not found it. Is there no place to offer for the
empowerment of "Good" and "Purity"? Even if you do not abide by those
ideals, perhaps you would still agree for a time, that to have our world
overrun by who knows what, is worse than finding a way to counter by
empowering good?
What if we turned effort towards finding that place or item or power or
force that will do just that : Counter and reverse or diminish the hold
that the stinky fog has? I have shouted and yelled and talked and
talked, trying to find a group of people to help think through (as a
group) what will work and have found 5 people so far, and sporadically,
to do so. Doesn't anyone else want to help? I'm sure you do!
You don't even have to talk to me, but please, someone reassure me that
there is a group of people working tirelessly to find the cure to this
plague. Organization and a concerted effort on the part of a unified
group will benefit us far more than an ecclectic little group of people
standing with Azmodai waiting for Aspin to reject grace so we can try to
kill him in the 1/2 second that we have before he impales.
Oh, and Azmodai, you definitely need a more structured social
environment. We could get together sometime and practice shaking hands,
etc instead of ripping them off, k?
Love ya, sugarplum:)
