We indeed

I understand as leader of a city thats reputation is in the muck you
must try to put a positive spin as possible on the ending of the war.
Heavens knows Shallamite leadership has accused myself of propaganda
before. I however wish to point out one thing from your post...
"Shallam is a city of light and justice. We have tried those who
commited the "crimes" against Hashan."
Yes. We being Shallam. As we were reminded on several occassions during
the trial, it was an internal Shallamite matter that had NOTHING to do
with Hashan. To say that "we" tried them and that should be the end of
the matter now after holding a Shallam only trial is a bit ludicrious.
But of course we are getting used to this sort of goose stepping state
sponsored propaganda from you. You handled their guilt in the typical
Shallamite way. You gauged how useful they were to you and seeing that
you thought they were indeed quite useful, you slapped them lightly on
the wrist and sent them on their way. How nice. I'm sure all your
citizens can sleep well at night knowing the harsh penalties for
perjuring themselves to the Patron of your city, abusing the public's
trust, and yes leading the town down a path that did indeed lead to war.
You can scream Hashan started all you want. Had Dresden, Ryvern, and
Charlotte stood up in the beginning and acted in a responsible manner
instead of selling Charlotte up the river while screaming "We're
innocent!" the war would NEVER have happened.
But they have never stood trial in a Hashan Court for crimes committed
to us. Your trial was solely on laws they broke inside your town. Not
one murder charge, not one deprivation of freedom charge, not one single
flicker of an arson charge was listed. So please spare us the talk of
"light and justice". The war became "trivial and inconsequential"
because we saw at the trial how truely misslead the town of Shallam had
been in this. And we saw further conflict with the town that was
innocent of the reason we went to war as wrong. And don't call it
inconsequential when half of your population stayed graced out of fear.
You insult what they went through. What Hashan wanted was justice. But
the leadership of Shallam would never give us that. Once we realized
that the war would drag on forever because of that one sticking point we
ended it. Nothing you did caused it. In fact the only thing trivial and
inconsequential in this matter has been Shallamite leadership.
Understand this though. We will not forget that day 10 years ago. Not in
the decade that has past, not in the decades to come. We will not forget
the horrors caused by a select few in your town. Nor shall we forget
those that protect them. We will remember. And unlike previous posts,
yes...I do talk for Hashanites when I say that. And we all will
remember.
