Neutrality and you.

I believe the point Caleth is trying desperately to make is that many of
the "forest types" and thus not necessarily followers of Gaia, aided
Shallam last Crossing under the pretence that they were doing so for
balance and for Gaia when in fact they were doing so for Shallam all
along. For if it was just for balance sake of the woods I fail to see
why Conor shut down the Aalen multiple times.
Understand that alliances are murky at best now and that the balance is
horribly unaligned. Shallam is not doing its job. Period. If it was I
wouldn't have to repeatidly look at Help Shallam and groan everytime I
see Ryvern as the Sultan. Want further proof the balance is screwed up?
In the void created by no force of good, neutrals are having to
increasingly play that role against evil. Look at the Order alliance for
further proof.
Yes it is true Shallam is a foster home of sorts to the Sentinels. Yes
its true Shallam has done much over the years for those of the forest.
But what of Hashan? Have we done naught for you over the years as well?
Is it not the sorcerers who are generally the first other guild to
respond to these demonic fires? And from the last events posting I saw
even Warlocks who aided the fight against the flames.
You help in landmarks to oppose necromancy, but fail to see the whole of
the picture. Why are so many unaligned people aiding the necromancers in
this? We aren't aiding them, we are hurting Shallam. The government that
voted to open the second box. Those flames could have just as easily
descended upon the Ithmia as they did our home. What they did was wrong.
And they continue to do wrong by dragging their feet towards peace. If
you know what they offered at the peace table you would choke with
laughter. I for one was simply disgusted.
You want a possibility of an arrangement on the tree? There will be zero
chance as long as the war rages. Devotion is a necessity for Shallam. We
intend to make sure it stays in as little supply as possible. Tree be
damned. You want to support Shallam in this effort? Go for it.
Understand what you are supporting before you do so.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Daedalan, in the year 293 AF.
